How do i stop my one year old welsh springer spaniel from urinating in the house when i go out?
As above, when i go out my dog seems to urinate inside even though ive just put him outside 5 minutes before i go out. Hes healthy and fit and is walked twice a day and can go from 11pm to 8am overnight on my landing area without urinating, but if i pop out to tesco or somewhere for 1hr 3hr he urinates in the kitchen and sometimes its a tiny dribble not even needing to go, but almost forcing it out for attention. I even leave the back door open for him, but still he urinates inside.Any tips?? this has been an ongoing problem from when he was 2 months old, but now he is 1 year old, i think its a bit daft of him lol.

Anyone ever had a welsh springer or english springer?
i live on 20 acres on a farm. I have 3 other dogs a jack russell, neo mastiffXgreat dane and a gsd, we love dogs and would like to get another one. I'd just like to hear from someone who actually owns one, to get a better idea, as i've read a lot, but every text is different. We have plenty of money and all of our other dogs are up to date with vaccinations, microchipped, reg and fed royal canin currently, so price is not an issue.

We're thinking of buying a welsh springer spaniel puppy. We have 2 cats and a young family and the breeder said they're great with kids and other pets. They cost 650 which seems a lot though. Does anyone else have one or could recommend a similar dog which would suit us?and is cheaper?

All you doggie owners out there!! Welsh Springer Spaniel as a first dog?
I've loved animals all my life, but has been suffering from eczema since birth. It has gotten much better since i've grown up and the doctor said it will gradually disappear hopefully . This is why i've finally made up my mind to get a dog. I've been doing some research and i thought a welsh springer spaniel may do quite well. Although i live in an apartment, it's got two floors and a small garden. We can also take him for walks i'm hoping at least twice a day around the compound, where we can play fetch and stuff with him. There's also tons of fields where he could run around when i go horse riding at the weekends. I'm very sure i'll be fully committed into training him, and to be honest, i believe that every type of dog is suitable, as long as you put your heart into it.What do you guys think?? good choice? bad choice??Suggestion??Also, any suggestions on dog breeds suitable for mild skin allergies? I don't really want a poodle, as it seems like everyone is getting them. Preferably something slightly bigger, like the spaniel size. The allergy is also really not that bad, just rashes on my knuckles and the inside of my elbow sometimes...Thanks a million
