Question: Satellite navigation systems map updates for becker traffic assist highspeed ii 7988 or for any other system?

Is a downloadable map update facility available anywhere? To update from NavTeq (who were preloaded on this device) is at least £100 via DVD. Roads in NW Kent are changing at such a pace, navigation here is fraught. Without regular updates SatNavs are going to become defunct. Thanks if you can help.
