And i was wondering where i can find a navigation system for cheap. I need one that is portable so i can just bring it with me, because i cant tamper with company trucks. It has to be something easy to use as well. I need one that is like a map of streets. sort of like Tom Tom but portable, or atleast just simple plug in. Any help i would appreciate it. i also need detail description of what im looking for, i have no idea what anything is, electronically speaking. i just need something so i can just add an address then it gives me detail description of how to get from place to place

Jensen 3.5" Touch Screen Portable Navigation System (NVX-225)...a reasonable choice?
I have just recently bought a Jensen 3.5" Touch Screen Portable Navigation System NVX 225 and I was wondering if it serves its purpose. I've heard mixed reviews about many of the recent GPS navigational systems and it turns out that Jensen isn't as big as the TomTom GO 910 which was what I 'was' considering. BUT, I decided that $400 for a navigation system is out of my pockets and I really just needed one that would do its job as thoroughly as possible. The Jensen NVX 225 had a good price $180 but that alone left me pondering if whether or not I got the best bang for my buck. I haven't heard much from Jensen's Touch & Go portable navigation system but I would like to hear any one's opinion who has this product and how it compares to the TomTom GO 910 specifically concerning the sole purpose of 'navigating'. I could really care less about all the additional features the TomTom GO 910 has to offer though the specs help seal the deal as a consumer...just...not for $400 or $500.

I would like to get an inexpensive portable navigation system with voice, but I am very leary about it. I heard some people commented that some are not accurate because they wound up taking a longer route, and some people wound up driving by the water, while some people commented that the navigator is great. Someone told me that a brand name Garmin is supposed to be very good. Would someone kindly tell me a brand and model number of a recommendable one. Please recommend only if you have experience using a particular brand and model. Thank you.In answer to geog nerd's question, I would find it helpful to have a GPS with voice that will say both the street name and making turns. I am very bad with directions, and sometimes I refuse to drive to places because of the fear of getting lost and not knowing where I am.Hope this answers your question.
