What should I do with a extra room?
I have a extra what use to be a bedroom room in my house, I have no idea what to do with it. Can you help me decide? I do not need another guest room, as I have several. I was thinking a art studio, I am not a artist but painting makes me relaxed, I hate the clean up though, so I don't know Still very much an option though . I was also thinking of making it a " cats room" by putting a couple of perches and other things for them to climb and play with on, but they are more lazy cats expect for the kittens and that also makes me seem like a crazy lady. What are so other ideas? No office, study, or library room. NO GUEST ROOM SUGGESTIONS EITHER.

Five extra rooms in my house? What to do with them?
Hello,A few months ago, I got married to my husband Mike. We met when the company I own and run was doing business with the company that he owns and runs. We got married and we have recently bought our first house. It's quite large, but we've managed to fill it up pretty well. A lot of extra bedrooms we plan to have kids , a future playroom, a lounge room with a bar, a lounge room that opens up to the pool built in the center of the house, a few formal dining rooms. But after filling up most of it with the necessary rooms and a few guest rooms, we still have five extra rooms, left. What should we do with them? We've already filled some of them with couches to make them lounge areas, but I dont' want to have a bunch of lounge areas in the house, because we'll never use all of them. I already made a library that's two stories with the second floor open to the bottom, and a small study connected to it. I also have another study that opens to the pool for warmth, French doors opening. We already have three studies. I already have an entertainment room with a pool table and ping pong table, and I've already added an at home gym. I already have, connected to the entertainment room, a TV room full of DVDs and a stereo system with speakers all around the house, and you can choose which speakers to shoot the music out of.What in the world should I do with those extra rooms? Should I just turn it into storage? I already have so many closets that aren't even NEAR full and it seems so silly to make it into yet MORE storage

What are extra rooms to have in a house?
like a theatre room or a study or kid's room, things like that?

What shall I do with the extra rooms in my (future) house?
Ok, well, we are planning to move. The house 10 bedrooms, and we are a family of four. We would like 3 rooms for us, two spares, a cinema and not a clue about the rest. There are already walk in wardrobes and plenty of storage etc. They are all on the upper floors, and we like to keep main reception rooms downstairs and there's already four of those. We are building a pool out the back and converting the outbuildings to pool houses etc. So the question is, does anybody have any original ideas what to do with the 4 extra rooms?

I have an extra room in my apartment that I want to make it a meditation room?
I have neck and back injury and have been advised to try yoga and mediation if this doesn't I will need surgery . So I really want to convert my extra room into a meditation room. I need suggestions and maybe some good sites to purchase items. I was thinking of painting 2 walls a plum color but then I thought of putting wallpaper mural of birch trees and paint the other walls a calming green matching the mural. I need as many ideas as possible that reasonably priced thanks

Help!...What shud we do w/this extra room?? Any Ideas??! ?
We have this amazing room that's not being used. Our home is in the Hollywood Hills. We have a small octagon shaped room 11ft x 11ft at the highest level of our house. It has a beautiful view of the hollywood hills, and the hollywood sign. It has a small fireplace. We are using it as an office right now, but we never go up there pretty much. But it's so beautiful up there, we'd love to use the room for something that we would enjoy. The room leads to our roof deck, which we don't use much either, which is a shame...its beautiful up there too. It's pretty small for a guest bed room. We do already have a guest room, which never gets used.any ideas? questions?...Thank you in advance.

I have an extra room in my apartment...what should i do with it?
i already have a guest bedroom and dont need a study room or anything like that.any ideas?

What to do with extra rooms in my house?
My house has two floors. Currently, my older sister pretty much dominates the lower of the two. Downstairs has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, and a den.She is about to move out and go to college. I am planning on using the den as my bedroom and a TV room for inviting friends over to watch movies and stuff. My sister's bedroom will be turned into my closet Which is pretty much amazing, because I have always have a small closet. I am about to have the closet of a lifetime If you can't tell, I am planning on taking full advantage of my sister's moving out This still leaves one extra bedroom. I don't necessarily have to use this room. I was just wondering what my options are for this room. There is door to the outside from downstairs with its own small patio apart from the main back patio, its own gate, and a bit of an area to park. The patio can be used as a sitting area along with the den bedroom. So, I don't need a sitting room. I do not need a study or home office. I am only going to be a junior in high school. If there are no other options for this room, I guess that's ok Just wondering if you had any Also, I don't need a spare bedroom for guests. There are a total of 5 bedrooms in my house. My parents take up one, my mom's closet will take up another, my closet will take up another, and my old bedroom will be a spare bedroom. I really don't need a room dedicated for guests,. It would be ok if a bed was incorporated into the room, like a day bed or something we have on of those . We will not spend lots of money on this room. A little paint, some extras. If you can't tell, a good bit of money will be used on my room and my closet.Just to clarify I am moving my room downstairs. Downstairs there are two bedrooms and a den. I am converting the den into my bedroom and a place for my friends and me to hang out. One of the extra bedrooms will be my closet, and the other one is the one I am trying to figure out. Oh Also, the top floor is the ground floor. It's a split level. So, when you walk in my house, you are on the top floor, but the bottom floor is not underground. I think that may help. No one ever goes downstairs except my sister whose room is down there. She is moving, so i am taking over. It's basically like I have a mini apartment downstairs. Of course, I still have to eat upstairs and congregate with my family, but no one will come downstairs except me. The den isn't our normall den. We have on upstairs. That is why I am able to use it as my bedroom.

We have an extra room in my house and i want it for me?
how can i get my parents to let me take out the crap in that room so i can make it a study room?

How do I cool the extra room above the garage?
How do I cool the room that was built above the garage? It has vaulted ceilings and has 2 central air ducts built into the ceilings which are about at eye level for an adult. We have tried the ceiling fan and a box fan, but my daughter is still hot and we've not yet hit the 90's yet this summer...any suggestions??

Theres an extra room in my house. what should i use it for?
its a good size room. its very wide not very tall. my mom said i could use the room for whatever i wanted as long as i clean it. so what do you think i should put in it? where can i get good room stuff?

What should I do with my extra room?
I have an empty bedroom, and am looking for a new hobby. Any ideas of what I could do in there?

I have an extra room. Any ideas on what I should use it for???

What do I do with this extra "room"?
We are remodeling our attic in our 150 year old farmhouse. The attic has stairs coming up the middle with a landing that is just small enough to stand on without having to bend over b c of the sloped ceiling. The tallest part of the ceiling about a foot wide in the middle is only about 7 feet high I'm six feet tall . My measurements are in the office nursery where the baby is sleeping, so I'm going to guess timate that the size of the small room is 6x11. The bottom part of the slope is about 3' high, with the tallest point of the slope being about 7 feet. The bigger room is about 11x11. I am wondering what to do with this space. Right now it is open with the stairwell in the center. If we put walls up on either side of the stairwell, we can make two rooms that's how it was used before . However, there's not room for normal doors. We were advised by a contractor we know that pocket doors won't really fit either because the landing is so small. We had planned to make it into kids bedrooms but one of the " bedrooms" is so tiny, there would only be space for a twin bed and maybe a dresser after we put in a sad, tiny closet . We are tempted to build a railing for the stairs and just keep it open as a master bedroom office, but I hate the idea of being stranded upstairs for work I work from home . We also considered making the small room into a bathroom but we can't figure out where we could fit a shower not to mention a door because the sloped ceilings hog so much of the floor space. Anyone have experience with putting in a bathroom in a very small attic space? The tiny room has a beautiful view of our giant backyard and I would hate to see it wasted as storage space. Any advice on how to best use this space?
