What is a good pet training book for Border Collies?
Not for training them to be sheepdogs or nothing, just house pets.Thx Just to let you know, I met the parents of the puppies and the breeder. She said the parents are more relaxed than most Border Collies, so the pups will most likely be as well. So... yah. Plus, I have no life. I'm a teenager. I got energy. I don't live in an apartment, so we got the room. I'm willing to run around for hours on end with this dog. I think I'm capable Thx anywayz.

Everywhere I look I see that people say you need to have treats to train your pets. I have a Siamese cat, and we all know that Siamese cats are either easy to handle or not. I have an easy to handle one. But she has an eating disorder. SHE EATS EVERYTHING. I cant leave anything out or she eats it. If you give her scraps from the table she bites your finger HARD, just to get the food One thing is she hates treats. But if I give her regular food, and tell her to sit, she reaches up and swats at me. Or she stands up and bites me. I have no clue what to do. I need serious help

I need pet training tips?
i need tips on how to potty train our 6 mo old puppy. its a very skidish dog. we got it from someone that may have been abused before we got it. no proof. but we have to leave her outside everydayand night because she continues to pee in the house. we have tried many things but she continues to pee inside. we'll leave her outside almost all day and it seems the dog just about holds it all in just too go in the house. she's so skitish. soon as she comes in she cowers to a couch r chair, or corner of the room. she's not afraid of us, but she does cower outa habit. any tips. it don't seem like she gets the idea. she is trainable, i know that, but i just need house breaking tips.

Long story short, had a dog completely potty trained so I think, in question now got a new puppy. The original dog started to potty inside along with the puppy. Now have moved the puppy to a separate home and which a dog trainer said WOULD fix the problem, with out a doubt. But our original dog is still peeing in the house I busted her today. Are we going to have to potty train her ALL OVER AGAIN? She is also becoming pretty needy. Always follows me & trying to get me to either carry or her or give her attention love. I am worried she is becoming too clingy dependent what will help? I don't know that she misses her. If I had to just GUESS, I would say she didn't like the new puppy being there. Especially towards the end when I would walk in and greet them, and I did ALWAYS give & do everything with to her first, she still was very mean and aggressive towards the new little puppy I felt so bad like I was being mean to the new little puppy because I did give the older dog all the attention first when greeting them or playing with them. She got to the point where when I would even go to touch or give any attention to the little one, she'd be mean to her.

Does anybody have any advice over the follow pet training products?
I found several training gadgets at target and ebay but didn't see any customer reviews so i am skeptical. The first is the talk to me treat ball where you can record a message on it for your dog and despenses treats. The other two are training devices like the ultra sonic no bark trainer, the instant pet barrier that is supposed to keep your pets off no no areas, and the other is a stay off pet alarm which is kinda like the one before i think. Anyway has anybody used these products and gotten good results? thanks
