Why would the dog whisperer give false info on the shock collar?
I was watching the show last night about the highly aggressive bulldog, and he used a shock collar on the dog to help train the dog out of its food aggressiveness. But he referred to it as sending a " vibration" and it was like he was skirting the issue of it actually sending out an electric pulse. It seemed odd to me, like he did not want to say it, as if he did not want to offend anyone or something.

Calling all dog whisperers...?
OK.... short background story. My husband currently deployed and I have 2 male German Shepherds that are a little over 1 1 2 years old. It's been a week since my hubby left. They keep growling and trying to bite and fight each other. This morning I woke up to them growling at 630. They fight in the backyard, wont leave each other alone, and are, most importantly, annoying the crap outta me. I think they are trying to establish dominance over each other since daddy isn't here. I try, but it doesn't really work out. I don't know what to do other than the normal dog training techniques. They are not aggressive dogs at all. I really do just think it's a dominance thing since my husband left and he was the " alpha." I guess I just need to let them know that I'm in charge. But with dealing with the hubby being deployed... it's just annoying me right now. I guess what I'm asking is if anyone has advice.... Thanks

Help me with my dog (BULLMASTIFF), PLEASE!!!??? Are there any dog whisperers out there???
So, I adopted a 2 year old Bullmastiff. I need help with his potty training. He will not poop around my husband or I whatsoever I restrict his food, he eats 2 meals a day. At night he sleeps in our small bathroom. That's his " crate" since he's a mastiff and the bathroom is tiny it works as a crate. I take him out in the morning, nothing, except pee, which I praise him for. I bring him inside, he gets food. As soon as I am not in sight he shits So, the following morning I watched him like a hawk after his meal, I seen him start to squat he must've thought i wasn't paying attention , said NO, OUTSIDE, then he did nothing. I brought him back in to his crate, waited 30 min took him out again, nothing. So that afternoon my husband and I took him on a car ride. He farted the ENTIRE time. We had to run into the store for NO LONGER than 5 minutes, came out and he shit in the car and romped all in it. It's like he waits for us to not be around. That makes training so difficult when I can't correct when I see him do it. When he does go outside to go potty he is on a leash. I'd let him roam freely BUT I live on a military base, he's a very large breed, and we have leash laws, so I can't. I'd tie him up as well but he's big and I know he could pull out any dog steaks and bust any dog run. I need help. This dog is amazing in all other areas. I've been training him on the leash and he's improved 110 % on the pulling and wanting to lead. I NEED HELP HE'S POOP SHY.I am about to resort to matching if you know what that is......DaBassett That makes a lot of sense. That's more than likely his problem.
