i just recently gotten a dog from the local shelter. we've come to find out that she was already house broke and had a little bit of obedience training. at first she had great commands come, sit down, heel, and stay was a little harder. but now the more i practice these commands she seems to be regressing. like when i ask her to " come" she will casually walk away like she didn't hear me. she used to perform the cues very well on leash and off leash. but they are getting slower and not working.is there a reason for this? and what can i do to get her to progress again?

How do I convince my parents to sign my dog up for dog obedience class? They both say no i have to teach him but I done everything The problem his whenever he goes to the dog park he barkes and tries to bite the other dogs. If my freinds try to pet him at that stage he will just bite my friends. At at last my freinds said you should have gotten another dog. If it helps my dog is a 1 year old Chihuahua. then a Woman with another Chihuhua said that my dog was retarted. All the other dogs at the park jump on each other and play and I think now some of them are tryinng to avoid my dog. Whenever I try to talk to my Mom about signing him up for a class She says no I have to teach him and I have tryed everything what Ceasar Millan says on tv, and even Petsmart gave me a tip to interupt him before he barks but he doesnt listen. Also for us the classes are cheap only $100 for 10 classes and the first one free thats cheap. Whenever I try to talk to my Dad about it he tries to change the subject. And when he does talk about it he says dogs need to be your gaurds and stuff but I dont want him to be my guard I want him to cooperate with other dogs. I think some of the problem is that he thins the other dogs will harm me but when I go to pet them so he sees that they are not mean he gets jelouse that im petting them and not him. Could he possibly be a mix with another mean dog like a minaature pinscher?
