Agility dog classes near Royal Oak, Michigan?
I have a dog who is not confident when away from his home. He has passed his Therapy Dog training but before I take him out, I want to build up his confidence. I have heard agility classes are a good way to do this. Does anyone know of any near Royal Oak, Michigan and or better ways to make him all around more confident in new situations? His lack of confidence is shown in his tail being down, hesitation in going near strange objects I once sat with him by a statue downtown for an hour before he finally relaxed and went up to it , constant sniffing of the entire area I mean, throwing his entire body into trying to sniff out every square inch if he is on a leash , and jumpyness. He is also weary of some men. Once he is comfortable with a an environment he is a very outgoing and well adjusted attention seeking dog, which makes me think if we could get past the initial insecurities he would love being a therapy dog.A few more details, in case it leads to better answers. He was a fearbiter when I rescued him we worked that out in the 3 yrs I have had him and I can confidently say he is past that phase in his life. When I first got him he wouldn't even walk by a for sale sign or balloons anything casting a shadow he would just flatten himself to the sidewalk. Through a lot of persistance we have gotten to the point where he is basically " normal" now but I am not sure how to go that final step to make him really confident. He has been through a few obedience classes and has done extremely well once he is familiar with the room. We go to the dog park daily where he socializes and he is a leader of the pack and extremely confident going up to every dog human to play. I bring him everywhere I go parents house, pet store, friends, up north, etc and he is hesitant until he learns the place after a few visits. I am just not sure how to get that confidence in a new situation.

Should I get my Boxer vaccinated against kennel cough now he is attending dog classes?
My 2 year old boxer will be attending obedience classes with 20 other dogs and I wondered if this would be a good idea. He is up to date with all other shots,worming,flea treatments etc, I am just concerned about Kennel cough, or would you suggest anything else?

Petsmart or petco dog classes?
i have to put my dog in obiedience classes, can some one leave me the link to the petco or petsmart page that lists the date and times of the basic obiedience classes at the cheyanne wyoming locations. both would help moreand if anyone has taken to there dogs to these classes were they well worth it? and what was it like?

Does anyone in North East of Scotland know the address of a dog obiedience school, not dog classes?
We are looking for somewhere to send our 15 month old boxer pup for training. Our own efforts seem to be having no joy. We are not looking for classes, but more an inrtensive training course. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Good results with dog classes anyone?
I have a 6 yr old rat terrier chihuaua...She chases after other animals and will be SOOO distracted by little animals that she will NOT come when I call her. She goes crazy when she sees other dogs. Anyone have similar problems with their dog before classes and any good results from it?

Where do I go for the top of the line gard dog classes?
I want to put my dog in gard dog classes. Does anyone know were the best place to go is? I live in down town Houston Texas. Any warnings on were not to go would also help. And any other info that would be helpful ONLY.

Some kind of "dog classes" for teens....?
I really need something to do for the summer and since I really love dogs, I thought that maybe I could learn more about them. Whether, it's a doggy grooming class, training class, as long as it's for teens or for kids then it's fine. Also, if anyone knows where a 14 year old can get a job dealing with dogs grooming, daycare, etc ...then it would be greatly appreciated....thanks so much
