Aggressive dog behavior?
I have a blonde lab, and every time she interacts meets for the first time with another dog she snaps and tries to bite the other dog. She is especially aggressive to little dogs. But, she loves people, she will only lick them to death. I have tried carrying treats around so that she knows who is boss. I have tried dragging her inside to the kennel. And I know not to use a leash, and not to introduce another dog on your own property. What can I do to change her? Please helpI already use a choke coller, and that's for walks. And i use a leash but when she is with another dog i can't pull it or she will bite the other dog. She listens to me when she sees another dog, i can even walk by within 10 feet of the other dog. Just when she meets the dog head on she gets aggressive. Another thing, she knows about every trick in the book so I'm not dealing with a dumb dog, and we got her from a back yard breeder when she was a puppy. I just want to get her to like other dogs when they meet head on.
Where can I contact a dog behavior specialist in Dallas/Ft. Worth area?
Do you know one? My dog growls and bites at everyone and even the vet can't handle her. She never sees people and hates all people and animals. I was advised to get a professional pet behaviorist. How do I go about finding one?
Is this normal dog behavior?
I ask this because she follows me everywhere, without calling for her, even to the bathroom Every time I leave for school, my mom says she whines all day 'til I come back home, then she barks her head off when I come home Excitingly Then she begs to come in and when she does she licks me like crazy. Can dogs really love this much? None of my dogs before has ever acted like this..
What is typical dog behavior after birth?
My dog, Daisy, just gave birth almost a week ago. She was wonderful with the pups the first day, but since then it's like she is ignoring their cries and constantly leaves them while they are nursing. She also doesn't look where she sits, and sits on them. They cry out but she doesn't make an attempt to move. Is her behavior normal?I do not leave the pups unattended for any length of time. They are with me 24 7 and if I happen to have and " urgency" I have 3 other people supervise them while I am away. When she tries to get up while they are nursing, I encourage her to lay back down. When she sits on them, I move her or reposition her and help the pups find a " nip" . And she is going on three years old, so I did assume that she would have more of a motherly instinct with them then a young mother would. The pups otherwise are in great health and getting heavy and the mother has to go in for a rabies shot tomorrow, the vet said it was ok for the lactation and would not harm them.
Stupid dog behaviors. why don't some owners learn to train their dog?
there is a maltese dog in my street who is extremely playful and excited whenever taken out for a walk. he always feels as if he has won some kind of lottery jackpot. He is euphoric. Okay, maybe that's how his personality is. But whenever he sees anyone he runs towards them, jumps and grabs their leg and hugs it while wagging his tail. The freaky owner has like a 20 feet long leash which fails to control the dog movement. i was also walking and this maltese ran towards me and hugged my legs and start licking it. the owner said he is just playful. i had to wash my leg 40 times with soap when i came hope to make sure leg is disinfected.

Where can I find a good dog behavior expert in dayton ohio?
What should I do about a possible dog behavior problem?
My aunt had to put her dog to sleep a few months ago because he was old and couldn't control his bladder anymore. She just adopted a chihuahua from a rescue, its 1 year old and was apparently kicked in the face. For some reason, the dog keeps peeing in the living room. My aunt has it on a bathroom schedule but she pees mostly in the spots the old dog did. What could this mean and how do we stop her from peeing? Is she marking her territory?
Change in dog behavior?
My dog has diarrhea and has possibly been vomiting. She was also breathing heavy. She is more needy usually sits by herself is now always by my side. There has been no change in her diet, but she did eat some fish food last week. I'm not sure if the fish food is making her sick or maybe dehydration. This has been going on for about 3 days.
What does this dog behavior mean?
high picthed fast barking, tail straight up, but wagging back and forth, ears alert. ?I've always wondered this when walking past other dogs in their yard....is that aggression?
Does a full moon affect my dogs behavior?
We came home today and my dog was gone for 4 or 5 hours.... She never usually even tries to leave the property, and we found her pretty far away. Could the fact that it is a perfect full moon affect her behavior? Just wondering, thanks." FIZZBITCH" why do you got to be like that?
My dogs behavior has been changing.?
My 2 and 1 2 year old pugalier Prune has recently been changing her behavior to resemble that of what I would describe as some kind of depression. She has grown up with her 4 month younger sister Foo dog since she was 7 months and they are nearly inseparable. She has always been very playful and eager to please. Recently however she has shown little interest in playing and often sits and whimpers at nothing. She has visited the vet and is considered to be in perfect health so Im not concerned physically. I suspect that the younger of the two girls Foo has taken a dominate stance in the household as she seems to lose interest in things as soon as Foo exhibits interest. Otherwise I'm at a little bit of a loss. Anyone have any suggestions of a change that I could make to see if it helps? I feel bad for her, she just seems sad.
Question about my dogs behavior?
All of a sudden my dog hates being outside. We usually tie him out in the morning and he hangs out there for a while. Well all of a sudden he whines and cries like crazy every time we put him out there. He doesn't seem sick at all. He spent the entire weekend with us and was playful. I need for him to be outside during the day because I am temporarily watching my cousins baby and even though he's great around kids he is big and sometimes jumps. I don't know what to do... I'm afraid someone is gonna call the cops on me, he is being so loud He has always spent a good portion of the day outside, he is a year old and this just started a couple days ago. I wish the baby gate idea would work but he just jumps it.Sorry for all the updates but he also has my other dog out there to play withI never said I left him outside all day And yes I have 2 dogs tied up and they can reach each other and play. Wish I hadn't bothered asking. Shoulda known this would turn into me being a bad dog owner
Does anyone know where I could get advice on my dogs behavior issues?
I have a 7 year old german shepard who will do whatever it takes to get inside of the garage. he has already ruined 2 doors and is working on his third. He will do what ever he has to and has already grinded down half of his claws and we often find blood stains on the floor.this problem started a few months ago. before we only let him he only wanted to come in if there were fireworks outside but now he wants to be in the garage at all times.
