Whats a good/easy to way to start dog agility training? And also . . . .?
So I want my dog siberian husky alaskan malamute cross to be in a dog sport and I was thinking agility. But she is 5 years old and so is it too late to start her on that? What might be other dogsport opportunities for her? I know that there's dog sledding but we don't have very much snow where I live, nor the materials at our house area.

I've been wondering if there were any agility training clubs in maryland, I keep trying the sites for agility and all I come up with are, the organization sites, which I get lost on looking for a club in MD.Does anyone know of a club in md, or even a more manageable site that I can find one?I have a mixed breed which is not suitable for most AKC events because shes a mutt.Again, shes also pitbull lab mix which is going to complicate things in PG

Dog agility training question: "Sending the dog through"?
I'm not sure how to " send my dog through" the course with me handling from a distance. Any help with training tips?Also, is there a good site that tells you how to train different agility skills and obstacles? If so I'd love to get the link to it, thanks Thanks for trying, but I'm new to agility and haven't enrolled in any classes.I've taught my dog all of the obstacles and front and rear crosses. I've been handling right next to her, but as i've watched others compete, they send their dogs through. I was wondering if there was a specific way that you are supposed to teach a dog to be sent through part of the course.

This was just suggested to me on one of my other questions so I would like to give it a try...but I am a single income family with a bunch of kids, so budget is a problem. I don't want to rack up hundreds in training costs in a pay by the hour environment. Puppy Dog agility training?
I have a papitzu papillon shih tzu mix . He is 9 weeks old. He is a bundle of energy and loves his training sessions. I have been wanting to do agility and I also thought that it would direct his energy. I heard that it will destroy there bones if I d it to early. So what age is the very best. He already knows how to sit, stay, come here, get down, no, good puppy, and he is already fully potty trained, and he kind of knows over and around. So besides basic training what can I do and at what age. I will give best answer and as many points as I can to the best answersPlease only serious answers and resonable ones thank you

Dog agility training for shih tzu?Where can I find supplies??etc etc etc?
I own a shih tzu, and would like to train her to do agility, she is about a year old, and I would like to know where I can find or make some appropriately sized equipment tunnels, weave poles, etc etc ... also I've never done agility but have seen it on tv ...what exactly do I need to get started on training and how? Also she is rather small for a shih tzu nine pounds and please no comments on how small she is and how that is the wrong size for a shih tzu and bla bla bla....
